Vancouver
Island is situated on the west coast of Canada
in the province of British Columbia, just north of Washington
State, USA. Stretching approximately 450 kilometers (270
miles) from southeast to northwest, Vancouver Island is
flanked by the rugged and breathtaking coastlines of the
Strait of Georgia and the Juan de Fuca Strait.

'The Island', as locals refer to it, is one of the world's
most biologically diverse regions and is a world-renowned
travel destination for wilderness enthusiasts. Vancouver
Island also boasts the mildest climate in Canada. The
summer months are reliably warm and sunny with daytime
temperatures reaching average highs in the mid 20's Celsius
(70 to 80 Fahrenheit) and evenings remaining refreshingly
cool. In winter, Vancouver Island is the most temperate
region in British Columbia, with temperatures just above
0 degrees Celsius (32 Fahrenheit).
